I have tried many salts. We happened to have this salt in a speciality restaurant aboard a ship. I thought it was wonderful. One didn't need a bbq; one could salt with this and the flavor is one of a bbq. Use small amounts as the flavor is strong, but if you like the taste of real bbq meats, this is the salt to use.

2. very strong
the smell when you open the bag is very strong, enough to be a turn off. But the salt is good; just a little goes a long way. we like it combined with the black lava salt.
